From above, Bangladesh looks like nowhere else on earth: braided rivers, green deltas, rooftops packed edge to edge, boats crossing brown water at dawn. As a drone operator in Bangladesh, I help international and local productions capture that scale safely and legally.

Flying with an international crew
If your crew is filming in Bangladesh under its own filming permission, aerial work should be declared in that permission as well. Hiring a local drone pilot in Bangladesh is usually simpler than importing and clearing your own drone and pilot. I advise on what the current process requires for your locations, and I plan each flight around restricted areas before the shoot day.
Where I fly most often
Dhaka's rivers and old city, the Padma and Meghna, Cox's Bazar and Inani, Sylhet's tea estates and wetlands, Barishal's river markets, the hill districts and the edges of the Sundarbans. Some locations need extra local permission; others are off-limits to drones entirely — I will tell you honestly which is which.
Frequently asked questions
Are you allowed to fly drones in Bangladesh?
Yes. I am authorised to operate drones anywhere in Bangladesh, except restricted and no-fly zones such as airports, military areas, key-point installations and sensitive border belts.
Can my crew bring its own drone?
It is possible but usually slower and more expensive, because the drone and pilot need their own clearances. Most international crews find it easier to hire a local authorised drone operator.
Can you fly in Dhaka city?
Many parts of Dhaka can be filmed from the air, but large areas near the airport, cantonment and government zones are restricted. I check every location before confirming a shot.
Do you provide raw footage?
Yes. You receive full-resolution original files, and on request a graded selects reel or edited sequence.
