I am an authorised drone operator in Bangladesh. I hold permission to operate drones anywhere in Bangladesh, except restricted areas and no-fly zones.
What this means for your production
- No need to import a drone or clear a foreign pilot — aerial coverage can start on day one.
- Every location is checked against restricted areas before the shoot.
- Flights follow safety rules: line of sight, altitude limits, distance from crowds.
- Your production's filming permission should still mention aerial filming where required — I'll advise on wording.
Areas where I do not fly
- Airports and their approach areas.
- Military, cantonment and defence installations.
- Key-point installations and sensitive government buildings.
- Sensitive border belts.
- Any area temporarily restricted by authorities (VIP movement, events, emergencies).
- Protected areas or private property without the owner's / authority's permission.
Safety first
A pre-flight check, weather and wind assessment, and a clear plan with your director happen before every flight. If a shot isn't safe or legal, I will say so — and suggest an alternative.
Frequently asked questions
Can you show proof of drone permission?
Yes. Documentation can be shared with your production on request once we are planning a project together.
Can you fly over crowds or events?
Flights over crowds are avoided for safety. Events may be filmed from a safe position where local approval is in place.
